The Maxwell Park and Recreation District was formed pursuant to California Recreation and Park District Act (public Resources Code Section 5780,et,seq.) with the adopted of Resolution No. 85-83 on July 30, 1985, By the Colusa County Board of Supervisors. The purpose of the District was to provide recreational and park facilities to the people residing within its boundaries.
